BETWEEN Flagstaff and Williams? What's there? Something that might not be immediately obvious to Europeans is that only a tiny part of Arizona is actually private land where people can live. Most of the state is under National Forest, Bureau of Land Management, National Park, National Monument or Bureau of Indian Affairs administration. Such land cannot be bought or sold and is left in its wild condition. Much of northern Arizona is National Forest or Indian Lands. Flagstaff is completely landlocked by National Forest lands. Find a city or town and we can tell you more about it.
Northern Arizona is much like living in Colorado. The air is crisp and dry, and at 7,000 ft. elevation, the summer is very short (the frost-free growing season is less than 100 days). Unfortunately the air isn't as clean as one might think due to the influence of the Los Angeles basin. It is a beautiful area for those who like long winters and dry alpine climates. It is rather unique in that you can be in 2 feet of snow and freezing cold, get in your car and drive south and be in the palms and cactus of Phoenix within 2 hours! |

You would be in one of the most beautiful places in the world if you lived between Flaf and Williams. I lived in Flaf for 3 years and moved to Kingman
a year ago to open a small business. So far so good. I am moving out of here soon! I would love to live there and maybe I will some day. Go if you can.![]() |

I have a friend who lives off the grid North of I-40 there at Parks. He would not trade the place for the world.
Nice and remote as in peaceful. |

There is a subdivision in an area called Bellemont....west 10 miles from Flagstaff and east from williams by 20 miles. They are new houses, 2002 to present and the sizes range from townhouses that are 1100-1600 sq. ft and houses from 1400 to 3000 sq. ft. Parks also has houses and land, but most have to haul water and have a gas tank.
