Globe vs Safford
Which one would be a better place to live when considering growth,jobs, weather, housing, etc.

Well with the Morenci mine gearing up housing is always a issue. I would vote for Globe if I had to choose between the 2. Good to check before making the jump/commitment

I believe Globe is the county seat for Gila county, but I could be wrong...more apt to find jobs and growth there...but neither is a hot-spot for industry

Globe is indeed the county seat, although Payson periodically makes noises about splitting off into a separate, more Republican county.  Both Safford and Globe are currently enjoying a boom in copper mining, although housing is limited as a result. Personally I've always preferred Globe. A little cooler in the summer, and the surrounding area is easier on the eyes - just IMO.

Globe is really a pretty area. I would choose it over Safford any day of the week!

As the other posters stated------although, Safford's winters are significantly milder, one can grow citrus there.
