Default Canadian Opening a Bank Account

Hi,

My wife and I are thinking of purchasing property in Arizona and we were wondering about Opening a Bank Account. We have been told several things about not being able to do this.

is it possible to open an account with just a couple of peices of ID as a Canadian????

I opened a bank accouned in Quartzsite at the Horizon bank, no problem, even got a seniors account even though I was only 50.

We have spoken to a Bank and They said no problem just bring some picture ID.
