Bees worry me more then rattlers.

I hike quite a bit, and desert hiking is a fave of mine.

Spring can be a challenge with bees.

But there is a legit concern about rattlers.

Several years ago my niece was about seven at the time and was playing in her backyard.

Keep in mind this was a very clean and neat backyard with no junk, or debris lying around.

But in a corner was an old rock garden from the previous owner that was slated for demo.

Aubrey was playing near it and stuck her foot under a rock shelf and got tagged by a small rattler.

Three days in the hospital and she was ok.

But it is something to keep an eye out for.

I have relocated rattlers from my yard and had to kill one.
