Hi! I have my Ohio house up for sale and I'm hoping to relocate to the Camp Verde/Cottonwood/Rimrock general area when it sells. I plan to rent, at least for awhile. My question is, how do landlords generally feel about renting to someone with small pets? I have 3 cats and wonder if that will be an issue when trying to find a place. I don't need a high-end apartment, just something small and simple and cheap, as it's just me and the cats.

Most places will ask for a deposit for pets, though a few don't allow any pets.

I'd rent with pets if they paid their share. Just kidding. Some places allow pets. I hope realize your cats will need to stay indoors as they tasty treat to coyotes. I live in the Verde Valley. Have you found work?

Yeah, I wish my cats paid their share!! lol They are indoor cats, so no worries about coyote treats. I haven't found work and probably won't look until I've moved, since I don't know when I'll be moving yet. Some may say I'm naive, but I'm trusting the Higher Power to provide. :-)

Hi
your not naive, because if you are then so am I. I have my house for sale in SE MI, and will be relocating to Verde Valley. I was their twice last summer and loved it, I had 2 job offers and had excepted one then my buyer changed his mind 5 days prior to closing. I was their at the time doing interviews and finding a place for me and my 4 dogs. I did not check into renting which I would prefer to do until I get settled and can really check out the area. But I had found a place to buy that would of been perfect. Best of luck to you, Debbie |

As mentioned up top, you will probably be able to find a rental that will allow your cats but a deposit will be required. It also matters if they are declawed or not. Best of luck to you. The Verde Valley has some wonderful areas!
