The cat should be fine. I moved to AZ from MI 5 years ago and haven't seen a scorpion inside or outside. We do invest in quarterly pest control service as a precaution. I would recommend that. Glad to hear the kitty is indoor only. That will certainly limit the risk significantly. Honestly, we had to put my cat down recently, but I never worried about indoor risks from scorpions, spiders, snakes etc.
