Some form of compromise will have to happen to get any law through both chambers (for any major legislation that'll get people really involved at least).
Minimal compromise is needed when R’s have both chambers and the governor’s office.

McSally: Congrats to @kyrstensinema. I wish her success. I’m grateful to all those who supported me in this journey. I’m inspired by Arizonans’ spirit and our state’s best days are ahead of us.

Can you play dirty pool and also be gracious?

"Minimal" I think would be an understatement considering that there are different flavors of Rs and Ds. It's not exactly easy to get your entire caucus to support 1 piece of legislation if your majority is slim.

Anyone who thinks that Sinema will be a moderate dem is out of their mind. Wait and see I guarantee she votes party line straight through, you've all been duped again! She's made it clear she's against a wall and for open borders and don't think for one minute that once she's in with the other socialist dems they won't pull her further left.

I've seen this happen first hand many times back in MA where they "claim" to be moderate yet once they're in they're pulled hard left and tow the party line. They have raised taxes so much that long time residents can't afford to live there anymore specially those who retired on a tight budget. Younger couples move there to take advantage of the great schools but usually move out once their kids graduate. It always amazes me how people move away from areas to escape high taxes and high col etc yet keep voting for more of the same. Soon enough we'll look like CA,it's already starting to happen.

Before you start judging, give it time and see what she actually does. Same as judging a new President's administration.

Funny how you equate with not wanting a wall = open borders. You do realize that, there's these things called ladders, that'll make your several billion dollar project laughed at. Smart border security is the solution (cameras, drones, thermal vision, etc...), not a wall. We are not living in the 1900s.

No, I don't believe so.
I think using the word gracious in conjunction with a loss or setback is similar to other trite phrases like "thoughts and prayers" and "They're in a better place". Banal polite-isms.

Gracious individuals don't conduct sustained attacks on someone no matter what the contest is about. Hard fought is one thing, character assassination is quite another. McSally's campaign was petty and foul and an asterisk of civility at the end doesn't fix it.

you can no longer use the term "gracious individuals" and politicians in the same conversation..The new order of politics is to say anything to get elected, and, many petty and foul campaigners have now been elected nationwide, unfortunately..

I'm willing to give it time and see if she will do as promised. But IMHO judging from previous experience I don't see her doing so.

If they would just enforce E-Verify throughout the country we wouldn't have to spend billions on walls, cameras, drones or any other high tech stuff. Hit the employers hard and hefty fines at first then jail time and problem solved.

BTW...I'm not saying that Mcsally ran a good campaign either. It was horrible and I think she banked on her military service for votes. Not once did I hear her say anything on what she was going to do for us! At least Sinema blew smoke up everyones ***** and told them what they wanted to hear.

Dirty campaigns are not new. LBJ and the Daisy Girl, Willie Horton, McCain's illegitimate black child, the original Birther whispers .... the list goes on and I'm only talking about some of the TV era.

The Founding Fathers had their own battles and even employed fake news writers to libel people.

It may not be right, but it's definitely not new.

Will she be the Sinema that voted about 50/50 vs Trump in 2017 before announcing or the Sinema that voted 80% with Trump after announcing her run?

I agree Sinema ran a way better campaign to get elected (which is after all the main objective).
