Yeah, but we'll still have to hear how they can't get a decent bagel in Arizona.

Just a little local trivia: the all-time record low temperature for Arizona is -40* at Hawley Lake on Jan 7, 1971.

But you have to admit the omelets here are ter-ri-ble! Flattened fried eggs with ingredients rolled into the middle does not make an omelet

A little off topic maybe, but without googling or any other form of research, what's your guess for the lowest recorded temperature in Alabama? Most seem to think we have a tropical climate here.

Hmmm ... yeah it does. The lower humidity means the desert will typically have a much larger spread between max and min temperatures than more humid places do.

A little FYI, just for grins. Up here, in Cottonwood, it is 27 degrees and snowing! My renter went to work this morning but came home because the doctor she works for commutes from Flagstaff and, evidently, I-17 is closed down! It's actually starting to accumulate and stick out there! Turned off the heat three hours ago and it's still 70 degrees in my house. I love it!

Yes, I love it too! And my puppy is going absolutely nuts. It's his first snow. I'd say we have about 3" so far here in Mayer. We haven't had this much daytime accumulation in a long time.

Such fun!!

Can't believe it's only 21 degrees out there right now! But the yard still looks pretty! I expect that most of it will be gone by this afternoon. I have to laugh because you know how excited people get when it rains here, they go absolutely bonkers when it snows! lol My renter has a little dog and it was her first experience with snow. She didn't like it at all!

I think it was four years ago, over New Years, we had a pretty big snow. I remember my work schedule worked out just perfect so I didn't have to get out in it.

The snow really brings out the snowflakes from the thick skinned hardy people who live in AZ. The moisture is much needed, wait until its summer, people will moan, ***** and complain about the heat once again.
