Default moving to bullhead city

Possibly moving to Bullhead City from Davenport Iowa. Very unsure, very brutal winter here last winter. Davenport has high crime for size of area. How are schools in Bullhead, have a 13 yr old. Anything to do there.

Bullhead City has some brutal summers! It can easily get to 120+. It's VERY hot there! You'll be going from one extreme to the other.

It's hot down there, but being orginally from Iowa and then moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, I know your desire of wanting to go there. This winter has been harch in the midwest! Bullhead City has its nice areas and its not so nice areas.
As far as weather goes, it is brutally hot in the summer, but gorgeous in the winter. Coming from the midwest, though, I was surprised that AZ does actually feel cool in the winter. Just south of Bullhead you might experience freezing temps in the winter. That lasts such a short time though that you don't even care. Bullhead City is windy a lot.

Thumbs up Bullhead City Resident / Realtor

I been in Bullhead now for 6 years from Salt lake city Utah. Great winters here and summers are hot so use the lake and river to stay cool and be entertained. Buy a home with a pool and your child will have plenty to do for the summer. Maybe add a jetski or boat to complete it. Winters for kids theres movies, mini golf, hiking, and socializing with friends. Feel free to e-mail me with any other questions regarding the area.

I lived in BHC from 2005-06.

My main objection to the place is the lack of 'culture'.

As for housing costs and work; surprisingly enough, I did OK.

The fact that I am not a 'party animal' is a two edged sword in that area: employers like 'clean' employees who are punctual, etc. but if said employer likes to drink-----non drinkers also seem to be threatening for some odd reason.

The heat is no more unpleasant than the American 'South'. Remember that 120F with its 15% humidity is comparable to Florida with its 90F @ 80% humidity. The direct sun is brutal------that I will say.

I HAVE LIVED in bullhead city 20 years and recently moved to phoenix, i like it here way better although i have 2 teenage kids who are staying in bullhead still with my mom.my son is 13 and goes to fox creek jr high, also my daughter went there too. It is way better school than bullhead jr high. For such a small town it has alot of crime and the meth use is real bad. The summers are way to hot, well same here in phoenix. good luck

Do not move to Bullhead until you have visited Bullhead...in the summer(that goes for any desert town!!!). There's not much there and it has a lot of older, trashier areas. Why would anyone want to move to Bullhead anyway? AZ has a LOT of much nicer towns....especially if you have a child.

I enjoy the area. It's great to have a river running through the desert. Lots of entertainment at the casinos. Great place to use all toys for both land and sea. I don't know how anyone can say they're bored here. The only area I wouldn't recommend is the Riveria. With talks of river front revitalization, a river walk on the Bull Head City side of the river, Bull Head City can only be on the upswing. The new mall will be a shopper's paradise.

Points well taken.

Understand in my case I do not give a fig about casinos, drinking, river sports, 4 wheelin' etc. so BHC has little appeal.

Give me a good Indie coffeehouse with live folk/blues/soft rock and I may reconsider my feelings towards BHC
