Default Sedona Cultural Opportunities

Good afternoon--

My partner and I have visited Sedona once--last year in April--and we absolutely fell in love with it. We own a timeshare there, and will visit yearly or more as the next few years come and go. We are strongly considered retiring there in the future.

But, I have a couple of questions some may be able to answer. Is there a strong community theater presence at all in Sedona? What types of culture can we look forward to in general? I know there are many local artists and spiritual centers, but I'd like to know if it is a decent area for culture, or considered a bit "behind the times."

We aren't planning on moving there (probably for 6 mos out of the year) for another 15 years or so, but I like to get ahead of the game and gather everything I can to prepare.

Appreciate any information or comments. Thanks.

A lot can happen in 15 years. We have the Sedona Film Festival in March. The Jazz Festival in the fall.

Badland wonder is on a distinguished road
The Sedona Arts Center should have a web site and so should the chamber of commerce. I would not consider Sedona a little behind the times, especially for a cultural setting.

Well, ya know...a million bucks will buy you a fixer upper cabin.

Reside in Cottonwood and drive to Sedona on a whim.

You'll save a lot of money.

And hey, you can go to Jerome on a whim too.
