No it's not. I have yet to pay $800, over five states. We live in a 3bd/1.75b with .5 acre fenced and pay $700. The house is in great condition and the landlords are great. The water is from a well, so we only have to pay electricity. (We live south of Sierra Vista)

Hello there, I am also from Ohio, (Cleveland). Anyhow, I am a Realtor and I just checked on our Multiple Listing Service and did see many homes that fit your criteria- all across the valley. However, being you have a son that will be going to school, you may want to first do some research on schools, crime statistics within a zip code, which may help you narrow down what area you want to live in. Once you know that will be much easier to search for available properties. Also, you may want to consider renting a condo or townhome as well, I think you will have many more options in the price range you at.
You might find the following websites helpful:
Find the Best Schools in Arizona - Which are the Good Schools in Phoenix
Welcome to Arizona's Sex Offender InfoCenter Arizona Crime Search - Crime In Arizona - Phoenix Crime Search - azcentral.com

Melissa
