I would like to move to Kingman early next year from Wisconsin. I have been there several times and also to Vegas. Kingman appeals to me because it is slower paced, mild climate and close to recreation. As a single male, age 50, is there any employment in the area. I do have a CDL (commericial drivers license) with semi and large truck experience. Would like to find a driving job of some type (not over the road driving however). Any tips, suggestions, etc., greatly appreciated.

I have lived in Bullhead City for 19 years which is about 30 miles away. As far as driving jobs I know ther is a Little Debby Dist Center and I believe there is Shamrock Dairy. Most of the driving jobs would be out of Vegas. Until approximately 2008 (when the Hoover Dam Bypass is completed), trucks cannot cross the Hoover Dam and therefor must detour down through Bullhead then up to Kingman (or Vegas) and cannot just travel straight Kingman/Vegas at this time. If you are unable to find a driving job in Kingman, you could always go to work in the casinos in Laughlin...about a 30-45 mile commute from Kingman. The casinos are always hiring and they usually have cdl positions such as shuttle drivers etc.
The weather is still hot in Kingman, not as hot as Bullhead, but it's pretty toasty.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask and I will see what I can do.
