Start with Casa Grande, then explore from there. Casa Grande is not a big place, but they have the basics. I have commuted for enough of my life to know that I would rather live closer to work and have to drive to the shopping areas now and then, rather than have a big drive everyday.

Also recognize that you may be able to rent a place until November/ December at a decent snowbird off-season rate, but the winter months will be more difficult. So if you are committed to buying something in the next 4 months, you could find a decent rate on some pretty nice places.

I don’t know a lot about casa grande but I do know they have a big meth problem and I’d be concerned about crime due to this. This is an objective finding - It might be a really great place I just know that much about it.

Wife works in Florence and we live in Gilbert, commute is about 1 hr. We like it here. I think you can go to the southern part of Gilbert and Chandler and stay close to 45min drive.
