Page: How Welcome Are the New Residents? (relocation, real estate)

It appears that there is quite an influx of residents to Page. Can anyone in Page
share any insight as to how well the "out of towners" are being welcomed as
permanent residents?

Have any City-data members relocated to Page from other parts of the country?
If so what can you share about Page... the good, bad and the ugly?

Also I visited the Page Chamber website. It appears that golf
is the primary special event. Are there any "community" special events
in addition to the Rug Auction, the "Kissing a Pig" event, the Pumpkin Festival,
and the Balloon Festival?

Elpascojeff: There are some older posts re: Page. I am hoping to relocate there. About the only info I've been able to find has been in regards to Lake Powell. I did sign up for a relocation packet, but all that was sent to me was some info from a real estate company and a newspaper type thing.

We moved to Page from San Jose, CA nearly 5 years ago, and we have been welcomed into the community. I don't think you'd have any trouble.

You'll be about as welcomed as "old residents".. No one cares...it seems 90% of the people you'll meet are from out of state - -

Hello Cerridwin, could you tell me how you've liked it there in Page and the Do's and Don't's, I am relocating there next week for a job transfer tied to the Tourist industry and I will be moving my family out next month.

I sure would appreciate any advice you can give
