Mossberg's Ranch is on a distinguished road
Default Dear paranoid

I am a Staff Sergeant in the Arizona Army National Guard and also just happen to live in Juniper Woods Ranch. I think you need to get your facts straight. Actually, right now the HOT SPOTS for Meth Labs are directly located within Arizona cities, not just in rural areas. As for militia members and people running from the law...where in the world did you get that information? You sound extremely paranoid, which is alright by me. I guess the reputation you are spreading around about Juniper Woods will keep all the yahoos and trespassers with their off road toys off of our properties. I love it here. And yes, it is nice to live in an extremely remote area. You can run around naked and not be bothered by neighbors. Kinda cool.

So, while the area is "nice scenary", ask yourself who would also look for an area that is extremely remote, hard to access, off-grid (no electricity), one can live there without anyone knowing, no neighbors....

Also, nobody is "insulting you" unless you are easily insulted by the truth and facts.

Southwest Forest Products in full swing
Resources turned into products
excerpt below

By Laura Flood
Ash Fork Correspondent

Ed Martin of Southwest Forest Products, Inc., pictured above, said the new mill in Ash Fork represents a long term economic boon for the area.

The October rain on freshly cut pine logs, five miles west of Ash Fork, is a sweet scent for many reasons. It is the location of Southwest Forest Products Inc. (SFP), a forest products mill that opened in July. The privately owned Phoenix company has created a bright spot at 8108 W. Old Highway 66.
Hmmm.... I think your "sources" need to be checked. As the MAJORITY of people think the above plant is HORRIBLE.

However, some rural neighbors of the proposed plant near Ash Fork are far from happy about it.

"Neighbors say they can see the lights from the existing Southwest Forest Products open-sided saw mill building for miles. They also say they can hear the generator that runs 24 hours a day. They also complain about dust."

My source was the Williams Newspaper. I guess they cannot be trusted.
I went to the hearing today and the Board of supervisors tabled the pellet plant decision for 30 days to give the owner of the saw mill an opportunity to make nice with the neighbors. The issue is not the pellet plant, it the operation of the saw mill in a way that is not being considerate to the neighbors.
We will see how much the saw mill owner will bend to get the pellet plant approved.
The major noise is from a generator that is being used because the saw mill owner does not want to spend the money to bring in power because it is ridiculously expensive to bring in.

I guess not. There is always a "hidden agenda" with local papers. They never really want to "speak badly" about their town.

Pettrix,
If you want easy access, lots of utuilities, no scenery, etc - may I suggest New York City, Detroit, Los Angeles, or any other "city". Sorry about the meth labs, druggies, etc - THEY ARE EVERYWHERE
Why do you live there if you dislike it so much??

(sometimes I use the water delivery service) As for power, we use a generator and solar panels. It is a wonderful life, but, it's not for the faint of heart. It takes a lot of work. It's not all peace and quiet, but I wouldn't change a thing. Lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery. Hope this helps everyone.
Thanks for your post about Juniperwoods. We are looking to buy land there in the near future and appreciate your honesty.

Happy to help. Just an update on the JWFD. We have grown tremendously since June. We have become an official 501c3 non profit organization. We have aquired two pumpers, one tender, one rescue, and one aerial truck, with several more apparatus on the way. Last month i became our first emt and we should have two more by the end of april. We now offer fire and ems services to any resident in the Juniper woods development. The vote for the district should be coming up soon. I urge those of you that live here to vote yes for the FD. Thanks!!!
