We now offer fire and ems services to any resident in the Juniper woods development. The vote for the district should be coming up soon. I urge those of you that live here to vote yes for the FD. Thanks!!!

Also, you forgot to thank Bridge Canyon Fire for giving you guys the idea in an earlier post and how to go about getting the Department going in a latter post!

We hate to say this but if you guys think that entire area of Juniperwoods will be annexed (especially on both sides of I-40 and way out on Crookton near Yucca Trail) then you guys have another thing coming. Not enough residents out there to pull off the county requirement of an 80 percent vote.
Maybe out where the church is in and around that area might be annexed but DEFINATELY not the entire Juniperwoods area.

Sorry to have to burst it for you guys!

Default Juniper Wood Ranches, Arizona

We just purchased 20 acres in Juniper Wood and WOW. This area is beautiful. We worked with a local realtor, Jake's Old West Properties, in Ashfork. The property is off-grid (No utilities). We looked at several lots before finding the right one 20 for us. The views are awesome and the trees are plentiful. The prices are really good for the property types available. Our property is about 6 miles west of Ashfork,Az. and 6 miles of good to fair dirt roads south. Hope you to can find the perfect property for you.
There are some posts that have some negatives about the Juniper Wood areas, ie; meth labs, people of less than credible character, well that's not unusual for any remote area of the country. Actually being remote its propably a lot less than most major US cities.

Congratulations. That sounds really great. I see you live in Dolan now. Will you be moving out to Juniper Woods permanently? Or is this more of a vacation property and investment?

There are many deals to be had in Juniper Woods and I just read an article today about how construction costs have come way down because the price of lumber, drywall etc has dropped. If you are thinking about building your dream home, this is a good time to at least buy the land.

Although you have a good point about construction costs the price of fuel is skyrocketing! So getting the materials there is out of sight. I guess for awhile it will be the motorhome. Rich

You can rent a truck from Lowes or Home Depot in Prescott and truck it in yourself for cheap.

I'm not sure I'm ready to build a new home at my age. We'd probably do the smaller mobile home if we were going to build and stay there. Water is not readily available and being off grid presents some higher costs also. Solar is not cheap, around 30k for a small home and water has to be hauled which is okay as we do that now in Dolan Springs. As fuel costs continue to rise I think you'll see fewer people moving out to the country as it will be an expensive trip to stores and shopping centers. All that said, I think it'll be an rv property for the present time.

VOTE NO ON JUNIPERWOODS FIRE DEPT!!!!! Not enough residents to keep the taxation low enough to carry a district! Since there are not enough residents that live in Juniperwoods and too many "absentees" your taxes will become sky high!

Vote NO if any of you residents have any sense! :-)
