For the first time in many years I might not be able to make it down to AZ this fall. I normally avoid summer as much as I can, except last year and in 2005, which I will try to never do again. Id just like to teleport down there for a few hours, sit in the sun, warm the bones, then get the heck out. My ideal weather in AZ is late October. Mmmm.

Has anyone seen the temp forecasts for the start of the Memorial Day weekend? Friday - 75 degrees in the deserts and snow in the mountains . That's like January.

Yeah, but not like January here in Seattle - or May actually. We MIGHT manage to claw our way up to 70...

...at least I hope so.

I think that the big high that started on the coast last week is moving your way and is going to heat you up now. It gave us and Cali record temps. If it really does stay that cold, it will be a first for my experience here. Weird is right. I'm going to savor it as it is going to be long, long time before we see those temps again.

Sure your not a week early?
I show this coming weekend as possibly cooling down (actually starting Thursday 22nd), but the Memorial Day weekend I show as 106, 108, and 108. If your weatherman is showing something different, I sure hope he's the correct one..... But somehow I doubt it.
Would sure like to see the 30% chance of rain come through tomorrow or Friday. 89 dry days (although far from unusual) is enough.

Sorry.... The heat must have cooked my brain.
I keep looking at that last week of May, but your right. Memorial Day is traditionally the last Monday of May... which would be this coming Monday.
Enjoy the cool (er) weather.... Then brace for what comes after.

Up here in Yavapai County (5200 feet elevation in Prescott) our local predictions are cooler (70's), possible T-storms, but snow is ridiculous. Someone is smoking their socks. I hope it pours rain...the older I get the more I dislike the summer heat and dust.
