Just curious about the current population of Douglas.

Is the town small enough that you can get around it by foot travel.

Douglas had a population of 14,312, a land area land area of 7.72 sq. miles. Yuck, to many people for me. Hope this answers your question

Around 15,000 people..a lot of early 1900 architecture...i love it...take a walk on g ave, 9th st and 10 th , 11 th st from west to east....great historic homes...

yeah, you can walk to most all the shopping you'd need. Just live near the wally world supercenter.
Old downtown is less than, what, maybe a 1/4 mile away or so. Housing(old but neat)is all around there. And the border is literally along side all of it.
I'd visit before you move tho.
