I hope you are retired and will enjoy being away from larger cities. Right now in my family someone is always having to run to the store to buy this or that. That will not be an option for you. The trip to a city that will provide shopping is a good distance away both time and gas will be factors to think about. Shopping in a little community seems to be a negative for me, but there are pluses for those who like not having a big box store just down the street from them also. I don’t know about medical clinics, hospitals or offices in the area but I’m sure that once you get there you’ll be able to get referred to someone who is in medical practice that will be good.

There may be a culture shock depending on where you are coming from? Have you been to Az City before?

I guess my thoughts would be that Az City is in the middle of no-where with little or nothing to do, and a long drive to get to anyplace that has what I may want or need. It will be a change in the way of life for you from what you may have always done before.

I was wondering what the culture shock is? My family and I are planning to move out there sometime within the next month or so. We are moving there from wisconson But we are origionally from chicago so we are use to living with many different cultures.

The culture shock will be living in a pretty isolated area, without much "culture" or ethnic diversity.

I live here, and it is only 8 miles from casa grande and you have everything there, lots of shopping, a mall, restaurants. This time of year there is a lot of traffic there with all the snow birds.

Be warned, crime as far as burglaries are on the rise here. I just got a guard dog today because of it.
Someone tried to break into my house and had a gun while I was home. Neighbor caught him and scared him oif.
Last nigh the house on the street behind me, was robbed and the guy was shot.
