Az is okay, I lived there for 12 years. Up north, for about 3, before moving downward to the Phx area for work and to get out of a relationship. Its 'okay' and at first, the heat wasnt as bad of a factor as it is now in my old age, lol.
Nice to visit but Az just isnt home to me.

Default Ask away!

I am a "rare bird" in that I am a native of Arizona1 Have spent all my life except for about 10 years in Arizona and was born in the southeast corner of the state in Douglas, AZ in 1941. My family was a pioneer ranching family in that part of the state moving over from New Mexico about 1900! I can answer questions about that part of the state. The one comment I would make is that it is a great place to live (southeastern Arizona) as long as you don't have to make a livin'!

I love AZ. I love the desert, the stars at night and the fact you can head to the high country in a couple of hours. For the most part, I think people in AZ are friendly and I love the conservative atmosphere. I don't have much experience with the Phoenix area. We live in SoCal right now but have a second home in Lake Havasu. I can't wait for the day we drive out of CA for good!
