I would like to know what y'all would do about a pool girl who says she does things and does not. First of all, I don't WANT a pool girl. If I wanted a pool girl, I'd be doing it myself. When I decided to have this pool service I told them who I wanted coming out each week and they agreed. First week the guy came out and did brush it down. Second time a girl came out and I don't think she brushed it down. Today the same girl came out. She added no chemicals last week in spite of the fact the company told me she'd have to add twice as many chemicals last week, as I'd been out of town the previous week. I went to Leslie's yesterday and there was zero chlorine in the pool. Then today she checked off that she'd brushed the pool down and she did not today. She didn't know I was home but I watched her the whole time. Then I went out to check the pump basket and she said she'd emptied it but she did not.
I feel like just paying this service for one week (two weeks max, they've only been here three times), but can a pool service put a lien on my house? No agreement was signed and all was verbal. Thanking you in advance. |

but Pool Services are a dime a dozen here. Just fire them and move on to the next one.

Thanks, but I actually want to know what this service can do if I don't pay them in full and can they put a lien on my house? Yes to venting and I also want to know how y'all would proceed with regard to payment.

First I'd call the company and complain. Then I'd call BBB and find another company.

If there is no written contract, then they cannot put a lien on you. Oral business contracts are not law abiding.
Fire them, and move on as the other poster mentioned. If they scream and yell at you or threaten you, then tell them you'll report them to the authorities. And I'd make a report to the BBB. |

She might want a hottie pool guy, the one she mentioned in the OP.

I would call the company and complain - it does not sound as if the Original poster has done that.
If the issue cannot be resolved, I would, as another poster already noted, file a complaint with the local Better Business Bureau. You can even request mediation or arbitration of an / the issue - at no cost to the consumer. And, to the OP - you cannot dictate that you don't want a pool "girl" - the company you hired has the right to hire males or females and to send out either sex. If you have a problem with a particular persons PERFORMANCE (not sex), then, you can possibly request another person from the company to service your pool. |

You know this for a fact? Or, are you simply making an assumption that a woman cannot perform to the same quality as a man in this case?
Have you spoken to the pool company and expressed your dissatisfaction? |
