Default Munds Park

Was wondering if anyone here lives in Munds Park. I used to spend summers out there visiting my grandparents who lived on Hopi Road next to the golf course. Curious to know if the place has become really upscale, or if it's still the sleepy collection of little bungalows and A-frames with one restaurant and one gas station...

Not quite as sleepy, and a little more upscale.
Most of the nice sleepy areas of Northern Az are experiencing growth....still very beautiful with great fireworks over the golf course on the 4th of July.

Unfortunetly, the fireworks do not go off anymore do to dryness. Other than that, the place is more built up. Another restaraunt has been added, but other than that, it is a place of small cabins and wide open lots. It is still heavily wooded, and elk and fox thrive here. The place is building, and they mey purchase more land to the north.

for those who don't know, Munds Park is more commonly known as Pinewood....it's a mostly summer-vacation place, but has lots of permanent residents

it's about 18 miles S of Flagstaff off I-17 and was first developed in the 1960s....a mix of manufactured homes up to $1M+ homes....lots of regular cabins, A-frames, and whatever in between....

have driven by it now for 34 years and have vacationed there once or twice - in somebody else's place!....not a lot has changed as viewed from the highway....some new condo-looking places on the golf course, a new realtor place or three, maybe a new gas station and store or two, same old motel....still sorta feels the same as 30 years ago, except for new houses back in the forest and maybe the trees are bigger..................

nice spot, stable feeling, convenient for vacationing Phoenicians who don't need to be in Flag........

I lived in Munds Park for the first two years I was in this area. Other than the drive to town in the winter, I liked it alot. This was 8 years ago, and we only had 2 other houses on our entire cul-de-sack that were occupied year-round. Winter there was VERY peaceful and quiet.
Summers were another story... The seniors on their golf carts in the middle of the roads got old very quickly. I was also with the local fire department back then, and summers were always busy with freeway accidents and EMS calls.
