Didn't bother me because it was a dry heat. Had no problem with it. Pretty much I loved being in Arizona everything seemed to be cleaner and the people a lot more friendly. I guess its just like everywhere else depends on where you go. But to me Arizona is a great place.
I always thought we had bad drivers here as well until I moved to the Carolinas for a year. Now those people have no idea how to merge on a freeway. I noticed the difference when I moved back here that most people here have at least have a clue and they keep moving while the people back in Charlotte stop at the entrance and wait for someone to let them on.

Anyway AZ is nice but after awhile you become dis-enchanted but it's still better than most places. I just wish it had a beach.

I feel the same way every time I visit Arizona. I've never lived there, but I always feel like I'm leaving "home". I've even cried a time or two (or three or four, lol) on the plane as I'm looking out the window watching Arizona fade away. I really feel like I belong there.

Most people who live in Arizona are from another state. The number of Arizona natives you will meet is probably far and few between.

So technically it is not Arizona drivers which are the problem, but the drivers from every where else driving in AZ...
TRUE. you can just barely find AZ natives... I moved there in Aug'07 and moved back to IL in Apr'08 and honestly i only found a few natives and mostly everyone there were from CA and IL! and yes both those states have some of THE WORST drivers... hahah so blame it on all the other bad state drivers!

Oh, most definitely! The Grand Canyon is in a class of its own. However, what I was stating is that there are other states who have just as grand of scenery, and beyond. IMO, Colorado is the perfect example. Not only do they have incredible canyons (Royal Gorge, etc), but great plains, foothills, desert, red rocks, the most beautiful mountains in the lower 48, etc. Same goes for Washington. And Wyoming. And South Dakota. And Idaho. And New Mexico And...

See what I was getting at? AZ is VERY beautiful, but I just disagreed with esselcue's statement, thats all.
