I am thinking about moving to either LHC or Kingman. I was wondering the pros/cons of each of the areas from people who live there. I'm 27 and single, but not really into the party scene. I do like to go out to country bars so if there is one of those in either city it would be nice to know. Thanks!

Pros about Kingman are it cost less to live there, cooler, closer to Interstate 40.
Pros about Lake Havasu are the Lake, now we have a Mall.
I would guess Kingman has more to offer as far as jobs the pay will not be great in both areas. Im not sure about the Country Bars in Kingman but the bar lfe is not big in Havasu unless its Spring Break. It snows maybe two times a year in Kingman but never in Havasu. I hope this helps feel free to ask any other questions

Hey thanks for the visit's and the heads up at the Lange Vet Center.
I tried to email Keith (the docs husband and the tech there) just to check back in with him. He is the one I have corresponded with about the job. Haven't heard back in a while. I hope I am still in the running with them.
I was a vet assistant with the Cascades Humane Society here in Jackson, MI. Currently not working so I would be very glad to be back in the animal care field. My area of Michigan is very bad as far as getting another job. Jackson has the worst employment in Michigan and I think the unemployment in the country. I want out of here SOON. I love to get to know the pets and clients at the hosptials. HOpe I can take my time with all of you. I will show alot of LOVE. (O:

Keith is the best, a super guy. There are 5 or 6 vet clinics here so maybe you'll have other opportunities.

Kimberly1881, not much to do in either town if your single and 27. More country atmosphere in Kingman. Dry in Kingman, no water, lake ...if that matters.

Just so people don't get the wrong idea: When it snows in Kingman, there is rarely any accumulation. For example, there has been no accumulation at all during the past few winters. On the rare occasions when there has been any accumulation, it's gone in a few hours.

Default Jax,MI to LHC for Tracy!!

Tracy,

I am also from Jackson (born and raised) moved to Havasu from 76-81,
back to Jackson (wanted to raise my kids in 4 seasons) and now 51 and in between lived in Grand Rapids,MI. Which I can not speak highly enough about!! But also am sick of the winters. My hubby lost his job and we ended up in Florida and NOW as of Nov. 08 seriously considering going back to Lake Havasu. Please let me know what ya end up doing!! Maybe if we end up there we can meet up...my husband and I have raised our human kids and now have 4 legged kids
The SOUTH is not for me, the people are STRANGE and I never rmember feeling that way in AZ. The humidity is bad too. The housing in Havasu has come back down. With the way GM is going Jackson/Detroit is really heading down a slippery slide. PM me !! Good Luck. Bobbie S.
