Default How is Flagstaff? job and housing wise

NAU seems to be the only university in this state that cares about science. With that in mind, in 1.5 years, i want to move to Flagstaff and go to NAU.

I've visited the town once and was unsure of the job market.

I have 10 years in IT, i have 2 years in call centers with basic network troubleshooting. I want to make at least $10/hr so, i don't struggle with the bills. Less life stress = better grades

Then the next question would be, is it affordable to live within flagstaff or would living outside be a better idea?

Thanks

I also am looking to live around that area, to me it seems the houses for rent are really high but outside of flagstaff isn't

I had a look at the job market on the local newspaper, very barren and kinda scared... I'll check careerbuilder next.

Lived in Flag almost a year now. Job market is slim pickings. The hospital may have something that meets your needs (and if you work full there they help pay for tuition in some cases!). Housing is quite expensive, we live 3 miles out of town and pay $1400 for a 3 br house, and that is pretty typical. Apts start around $800 I think.
