Kachina V. or Walnut Hills in Flag? (Flagstaff, Kachina Village: to rent, home)

Hello,

We have decided to go with Flagstaff and are quickly trying to rent a home or appt.. I was told about Walnut Hills but also read on here about Kachina Village. I want to be a ways out of town but will be driving my daughter to FALA every day.

Is there any advice you can give on where would best suit our needs? Only 2 of us and a dog so we dont need anything huge. I dont want to be right in town but need drivable roads and safe area.

I know Kachina Village is a good location south of Flagstaff and is in the pines. Sorry. never heard of Walnut Hills....where out of Flag is that located? Is it on the east side towards Walnut Canyon, or.....?
Personal preference is to the south.

I think it is a ways out of Flagstaff and I assumed it was near Walnut Canyon... But we didnt drive out of town much from the time restriction I wish we had. A police officer said out there we wouldnt have any problems... it was mentioned to me by a teacher I called.
