Very cool, Rambrush. It always kills me when folks claim the are bored around Kingman, when there are so many beautiful places in this area to explore.

We keep advertising how great it is we might get over run.
We are doing a day trip over labor day heading over to williams and down south towards Perkinsville. Couple nice lakes down in there.

Hi.. Great Photos!
Man, that must be some trek from Yucca lol!
How is the trek up from Wenden? Is that road Paved?
What about that road that cuts across to the lake on hwy 93.. the one
that is about 5 miles north of the 93/71 interchange?
I see where it's called Tres Alamos Road,
which turns into Alamo Road, then turns into Wickenburg Road. It looks
like it's the least distance having to travel on dirt, and looks like more
of a staright shot over to the lake. Have you been that way? Any Good?
We would LOVE to get out to the lake on our next trip, Can you get an RV
out to Alamo without too much trouble?

I checked the state park website, they have campgrounds there. They even
say that they hold fishing tournaments at Alamo. But how the heck do ya
get an RV out to there lol! We have a 28 foot.. nothing fancy, but with mine
and my wifes health issues.. it's about the only way we can travel and get
around these days. So my main queston is.. would I be calling a tow-truck.. lol!
Thanks guys
I can't wait until we can FINALLY move there full time. My wife aint real keen on
the idea, but she's not the one who shovels the snow, or the one who has to mow
the yard in this nasty humid-sweat drenching climate.. lol!

I lived in Globe and Apache Junction in the early 1980's. Lived in Vegas early 1990's.
Have always liked Kingman/BHC area. Plenty to explore,, better late than never LOL!

Thanks, AZBound. The road up from Wenden is paved and well maintained. So absolutely no problem taking your RV up there. All other ways into the lake are dirt roads, so you take your chances. Alamo is a great road, but only goes to the north lake. It's completely primitive with no facilities whatsoever, nor are there any actual campsites there, no ranger station, nothing whatsoever. Whereas the south lake has all that stuff, and even a separate area for RV camping.

The road I beleive you are talking about is right there close to the turn off to Date Creek ranch. It is fairly rough and some say it is shorter than taking the paved road. As some know this time of the year the monsoons make traveling back country roads interesting.

Funny, I'm the same way. However, suffice to say neither one of us will live long enough to explore all of them. It's almost endless.

Congratulations, I'm planning a relocation to Verde Valley as soon as my house in MI sells (it's been up for sale 1 1/2 years). Just curious how much were the movers? and where did you move from? I know it depends on the weight for the moving company's, also who did you use and please let me know if you are happy with them.(when you find a place and unpack.

I'm a bit jealous
