I'm not talking about the trial itself (of course you need to attend that or have an attorney appear for you)....I'm talking about just saying that you want a trial to be scheduled?

So if you are from out of town and you want to discuss your ticket with the court you have to make at least two trips over to Lake Havasu to even get a chance to tell your side of things. No wonder complaints are down and the money brought in is up.

This is an unnecessary barrier to justice...it is win win policy for the county......but a lose, lose policy for unknowing tourist.

It is almost like visiting Mexico except that there.... you know before you go that while you are there you have no rights.

That is why I continue to post the message.....Tourist Beware.
What would be your defense? You had total disregard for a "No wake zone." Playing in that area of the lake causes erosion. All you had to do was read the big bold sign and move to another part of the lake. How hard is it for you to abide by simple rules?

Tourists would have more reason to beware if people were allowed to play with rented jet-skis in the no wake zone.

There's nothing wrong with Lake Havasu, but there is something very cliche' and consistently wrong with some tourists who don't know how to enjoy themselves without complaining about everything around them (lake, food, hotel, residents, police, etc). They seem to think its a God-given right to let every store clerk, waitress, busboy, janitor, bellstaff, cab driver, forum, etc, know just how unhappy they are with everything around them. They thrive on everybody going through hoops for them.

And who ever said YOU have no rights in Mexico? You're still an American, aren't you? Give it a rest, all ready.

Every single post Taratune made on this forum is in this one topic only (with the exception of one). Obviously this is someone who is bored with life, is miserable with their own existence. A person that will always find something to gripe about no matter where he/she goes. Fine. We got the point. You hate Havasu, you think the world is unfair, blah blah blah. Time to let this thread die a quick and painless death.

Actually rich67, Taratune's one post in another forum was advising people in Orange County CA. not to go to, you guessed it, Lake Havasu!

I want to thank those who continue to read and post on this subject.

I am especially appreciative of the comments and examples of others that are "wondering out loud" about possible problems with the LHC court and have taken the time to research this.

For those who just want to bash me or anyone else that asks or really tries to answer a question.....your avoidance of the real issues.....speak for themselves.

At least I am asking a good question? Isn't this a better use of ones time than reading a personal attack or rant against the person asking or...... really trying to answer the question.

Here is the question?

Why doesn't the court in Lake Havasu allow people who have been given a ticket the opportunity to REQUEST a day in court by mail or by phone?

I'm not talking about the trial itself (of course you need to attend that or have an attorney appear for you)....I'm talking about just saying that you want a trial to be scheduled?

I make a point of reading signs and obeying the law. You on the other hand, will continue to complain about an event the took place almost a year ago. One day a cashier will give you a plastic bag instead of paper, sending you into yet another rage regarding the injustice in this world.
