Very nice pictures, IMTM. That first one is killer.

I wish I lived closer to the Superstitions. It looks like a great place to explore.

Default Apache Junction and Gold Canyon

Nice photos...Apache Junction is one part of the horrific "Phoenix metro" that I could tolerate, because it's "on the edge" near the trails in Lost Dutchmann State Park, and near the road to all the lakes in the hills. That park is only $12 a night and includes showers. You can stay there and be within "driving distance" of many things in Metro Phoenix...Gold Canyon about 10 miles S.E. of Apache Junction is also a very scenic area. Strangely, Gold Canyon doesn't show up on most maps of Arizona except for the "official" Arizona state highway map! Be sure to tune into low power AM music station AM 1630 in Gold Canyon / Apache Junction...
