I have found 3 apartment complexes here in Yuma that have good ratings on the various web sites. The apartment complexes are Holiday Apartments, Hayden Square Apartments, and Lothlorien Apartments. Does anyone know anything about any of these complexes? I am just trying to find out all I can because I don't want to end up in another situation where I am putting up with nonstop, 24/7, awful noise and cigarette smoke.

Hi there, I joined this site only to answer your question. I too have been looking for a place to live and have spent the last 2 weeks traveling all over town. I may have an advantage as I am good friends with several members of the YPD. Their take on Lothlorien and Holiday was not good. Lots of crime there, etc. I never asked about Hayden Square so I can't answer to that one. But I can tell you that Camelot was rated highly by the detectives. It seems there are several Police Officers who live there and it's quiet.

When I am looking for a new place to live I always drive completely through the area and look at how many cars are in the parking lot at different times of day and I always drive through at night during the week and on the weekend. That will usually give you a good indication of what you'll be dealing with.

There are a lot of good quiet places here in Yuma but you have to do the leg work. I just rented a beautiful 1300 sq ft condo with a private back yard, pool access, fireplace, washer and dryer included for only $800 a month. It's in a very safe neighborhood, close to a large park and junior high. If you do the math that's ony .62 cents a sq ft. Most of the apartments here, even camelot, are .85 to 1.15 a sq ft.

If you let me know what you're looking for then I may be able to point you in the right direction.
