Golden Valley or Albuquerque
Trying to get out of a situation and sell my property to move to either of one of these places. I have already looked into homes in both places and found a few that I really liked. Even with the economy the way it is I am finding that it is hard to sell. My brother lives in Bhc. and he suggest that I look in to the Golden Valley area or Kingman. He even said that Alb. is nice. And what I saw it is nice coming down the mountains. You see, I want out of this area that I am in due to some one that I am married too won't give up alk, and the d word. Any good advise out there.
Thanks

It all depends on your situation.
If jobs are a priority; and for most people they are; By all means, choose Albuquerque.
In fact; Albuquerque wins hands down for many reasons.
The only thing I could see that would make northern Arizona worthwhile would be having your brother near by.

If you like big Cities then Albuquerque would be a great choice. If you like smaller Cities then Kingman or Golden Valley would be nice. I myself would pick Golden Valley if I had to choose between the two although Albuquerque looks like a nice place to live. Like CodyW said the job market might be better in Albuquerque.

Well I am partial to Kingman, But Abq is closer to my Hatch Chilies and salsa.
Abq has great festivities in old town Kingman has street drags in old town.
You almost have to come visit and stay the weekend to experience Kingman and see if the weather suits you.

Thanks rambush
I have stayed there in Bhc and yes it is hot, and i stayed in kingman for a while and not so hot, kingman far better. I have read some blogs on the NM site and they talk about the salsa you have mention. Sounds so good. I don't mind the snow that Alb. would get since I am coming from a state that gets alot of snow, plus I think that the climate would help me since I have asthma.

Albuquerque has wonderful weather. I loved it. Mild seasons. The reason we moved from there, the crime was so bad, and it did not matter where you lived. In one year, my house was broken into, my car was broken into , my tires were popped, my car was shaving creamed when I left the windows open, and I was shot on the freeway coming home from bowling league. There was an arsonist hitting almost daily different homes and businesses. This was about 6 years ago. I said enough was enough and moved here. I sure miss the weather and the friends I made there though.

All this would have prodded me to go to a different destination too!! How many times have you been shot at in AZ? If none, then you know you made the right move!
