Prescott sub-forum has been added
We've added a Prescott sub-forum. You can still read all Arizona threads on one page using the link displayed near the top of the main Arizona forum: http://www.city-data.com/forum/mergeforums.php?f=7. You can also use our Subscribed Forums feature to see multiple forums of your choice on one page.

Quick note to the Admin: would there be any chance of adding Flagstaff and the Verde Valley (Sedona, etc) to the Prescott Forum? Why I say that is all of the above communities are all within 50-60 miles (100 KM) of one another and too Flag is the biggest city in northern Az.

I respectfully disagree with ArizonaBear's suggestion/request. The tri cities (Prescott, Prescott Valley, and Chino Valley) are within several miles of each other, and people that reside in either of these towns frequent the other two for shopping, etc.
Flagstaff and Sedona are quite removed from Prescott, and would defeat the purpose of having a Sub-Forum for the tri cities area.
When I go to the Prescott Sub-Forum, I'd like to view information on just the tri cities, and not have to weed through the Flagstaff and Sedona fodder.
Thanks for any consideration.
George

How about renaming the sub-forum Northern Arizona (or P-FiVeS - Prescott, Flagstaff, Verde Valley and Sedona - is that a creative name or what )?
Of course I'm "pro-Prescott", but I'm not sure we have enough threads and posters to keep a Prescott only subforum a happenin' forum. Plus most of the northern AZ posters are pretty familiar with all these towns, so we can also offer input as frequent visitors rather than residents, which is sometimes helpful to have that little bit different point of view.

As you stated..........
The only problem I can see is that Bullhead City and even Lake Havasu City are also counted as 'Northern Arizona' as well---------never mind the huge cultural differences between the river towns and the places you named.

I was thinking about that - N AZ would even include Show Low, Winslow, Kingman, etc. What in the world do you call the area we're talking about? I really think there should be some sort of all-inclusive name, maybe
THE BEST TOWNS IN ARIZONA would cover it?
