These crime polls are a joke. Ive seen so many of them and ALL of them vary significantly. PHX and Tucson have high crime levels, very high for their size, and it will only get worse as more and more people move down there. The future is bleak for PHX, sadly.

I agree with Steve-O. Iv lived in Phoenix for 20 years, and I don't feel safe here anymore. Phoenix has become Mexico.....
Phoenix just had two serial killers caught last summer and I'm here to tell you, It scared me. I didn't go out at night.

Well,that really says nothing.
Im from San Diego, and San Diego has changed a lot in the last 10 years.
Crime is through the roof and it is not because there is some illegals there.
As a matter of fact,I met many people who were here illegaly and most were like every other american, just trying to make ends meet and working hard day in and day out.
What I did see in San Diego where I lived was many white trailer trash types, many black thugs with their pants below their butts and many cholos too.
IMO,since San Diego is a military town, and since we all know that a lot of the people who join the navy/marines dont do it because they love the USA but because they want to leave the ghetto/trailer park.
Many times they move to SD and bring more family members with them.
I saw many people from places such as OH,PA and NY who brought their relatives to live in SD but the relatives turned out to be street thugs.
1-My wife was dragged by her purse one time, leaving the albertsons parking lot.
They took cash, credit cars and a check book.(black guy did it)
2-She had her car stolen once outside shopping center in La Mesa.(was probably taken to TJ)
3-My friend had his car stolen twice from outside his apartments in Spring Valley, one time they caught the guys(black guys) other time they just found the car with no rims or tires,no stereo and no engine.
4-The place where I worked was broken into 3 times in a 5 month period,in Pacific beach(white surfer type guys, they were caught after 3 times)
5-My friend in HS was shot at a party and killed at age 17,he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time(hispanic gang member did it,who was not an illegal)
6-my sound system was stole from inside my car,out side my house(never found out who did it)
7-a guy a knew lost his kid on a drive by shooting outside a 7-11 in el cajon(witnesses said it was some black guys in a cadillac, they were never caught)
8-a pizza delivery guy was robbed and killed while delivering his pizza.what did the killers take?2 pizzas.(it was believed the killer were from a vietnamese gang in Paradise Valley.
9-My brothers kids had their bikes stolen, from their back yard, during the day(t3 white kids in Spring Valley did it)
10-women jogging in balboa park were abducted and raped, thats right IN BALBOA PARK.
So,why didnt San Diego make the list?I guess that because although theres is high crime, its not as high as places like Detroit,MI or Atlanta,GA.
Same with phoenix and AZ in general.
Yes,there is gonna be serial killers running around and rapists walking the streets, car thieves watching your car.
But if it didnt make the list, its because in other places crime is higher,PERIOD.
Do illegals commit crimes?you bet.
Are they responsible for all crimes?or even the majority? You are a retard if you think so.
Or hispanic gang members are(BTW very few gang members are illegal),are black street thugs are,our white trailer trash are,our asian rice burner types are.
We all are, because we wont stand up against drug usage. But I guess its just easier to blame it on the illegals.

MBA - wow, I don't think I could live in SD. Don't really care for SD, it's so crowded.
When I said Phoenix is turning into Mexico, I never implyed it was illegals. But we do have our share of those....

MAB- what's the point? You see we live here and experience a lot of crime. We feel that it's high because that's our feelings. Maybe it doesn't stack up with stats, but that's what we encounter. That's great that we don't make the list, but that doesn't mean there's no crime here.
Also, it was said over and over that there has never been two serial killers running around at the same time, anywhere.
Who cares? I really don't think we have as much crime as other places. The stats may say that we have a lot, but my goodness, we are a big place.

Well,that is my point exactly.
That although there is lots of crime here(well in phoenix/tucson) its not like its even close to beign one of the highest in the USA.
I forget who once wrote that the lower states had ton of crime because there were illegals here.
And that the northern states had very low crime because there were no illegals there.
I dont know about you,but Ive always known that detroit, cincinnati and Memphis had much more crime than anywhere in AZ and also than San Diego.
FYI,I know you dont care for Yuma, but Ill tell you crime here is much much lower than any of those big cities, incluing PHX and thats one of the reason I choose to live here.
so the point is,although some people seem like they love to complain about AZ beign a high crime state. In reality it is not as bad as many, many other states. And yes, there is crime here, but it just isnt the same as other places.

Wow. Waaaay off base there. Here's the real deal. Check this link in the Washington Post for a real, unbiased and harsh look at the truths about Phoenix, in a major, well-respected national publication:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...?nav=emailpage
Facts:
-Phoenix now has the third-worst violent crime rate among the 10 most populous U.S. metropolitan areas, trailing only D.C. and Dallas. Here's a link to a list showing that Phoenix, overall, is the 15th- most dangerous metro area in the nation, and Tucson the 20th (scroll to the bottom of the page):
http://www.morganquitno.com/cit04pop.htm
- AZ has the worst crime rate of any of the 50 states. It's been well-documented and publicized both in the local and national news.
-Overall, the 48th-rated state in terms of educational funding and school performance. Phoenix was recently ranked the 3rd-worst city in the U.S. to raise kids, trailing only Detroit and Cleveland, according to Child magazine.
I could go on, but it's a waste of time. Just read the Post article- pretty much nails it on the head.

Do you think its just a matter of time before the high crime moves into the 'good' areas like avondale or surprise?
