Moving from AZ?
Is there anyone moving from AZ that is having trouble selling their house (I'm sure that's just about everyone right now!!). I am relocating to CT and have my home priced right and no calls. It's only 1 1/2 yrs old with a pool in a great location. I am just curious as to what others are experiencing. Just a side note, I'm in Chandler.

How long have you had it on the market?
I have two houses on my street for sale, one's been on for over a year, and the other just under. They are priced right as well.

I'm sure I am going to get a few laughs here, but it went on the market, last monday (2/5). I guess I was expecting at least some calls and showings. My last house I sold was in another state witth a totally different market, in MD. Nice homes were hard to come by and when one did, it went fast, it sold in 2 weeks. I know of many homes that have been on the market for a year or more in some cases here. I am considering having an auction, just to get some traffic in the house and have a minimum and if offers come in to low, I just won't accept. At least it will get people in. There are so many homes to choose from, all probably look about the same. The builders have once again ruined the market here, and it is so horrible. Can't wait to get out of here!!

I hear ya
We put our house on the market last week in North Mesa. We had 30 flyers taken but no calls and no visits. We want our house to be sold and signed by the end of April. If we don't sell, we are going to be stuck here in this heat for under year. I hear your frustration.

We also have had 20-30 flyers go, but I am sure they are mostly neighbors. I have seen a few neighbors take them, so I am pretty sure that's where they went. We are selling for 450 k. 2400 sq foot ranch, a pool and lots of extras. Don't want to go to san diego. I am actually relocating to CT. ASAP. I too don't want to be here another summer. Especially to deal with all the bugs!!!! My husabnd is already living in CT, so I really need to get out from under this house!

I'm doing the exact opposite move. I'm moving from CT to AZ Your house sounds very nice but its not in my price range.

A word of advice...
Have your realtor show you comparables that have SOLD within the last three months. Then deduct for the current depreciation rate (probably $2K-$5K per month in Phoenix. Then price your home at or below that number. If you are not getting showings, then your house is over-priced. If your realtor did a market analysis more than a month ago, then it needs to be redone.
Good luck!

We're putting our house in Mesa on the market this week and have the same fears as everyone else! I sold a house in MN last year and waited 5 months before I got an offer.
With all the new construction saturating the valley, I think it's hard for any existing homes to stand out. People aren't willing to buy used when they can get brand new for around the same price.
Hang in there and don't be afraid to bug your realtor!
