Angry Apartment in Chandler

I am going to relocate in Chandler in March from Canada. I have no idea about Chandler. Which stree is downtown Chandler? Do you know which area is nice and safe for a family? My working place is in zip code 85224.

Downtown Chandler is at the intersection of Arizona Avenue and Chandler Boulevard. It used to be somewhat dull, but some interesting restaurants, shops, and winebars have opened recently in downtown Chandler. They're a nice alternative to the chains that lie further west along Chandler Boulevard near the mall and the 101 Freeway.

As for residential neighborhoods, for the most part Chandler is family friendly and reasonably safe. There are a few dodgy areas on the edge of downtown; you'll be able to eliminate those pretty quickly. While living near your work in Chandler is probably your best option, you may also wish to consider Tempe and the Phoenix neighborhood of Ahwatukee as additional options. Both are adjacent to Chandler.

A quick tip before you move here, get used to driving. If you can afford housing, there are plenty of great neighborhoods real close (10 minutes)to downtown Chandler. If you need something more affordable, then be prepared to drive at least 30-45 minutes one way. Chandler has much to offer along with the neighboring communities! Now is a great time to buy before prices go up again in the future, guaranteed!
