Chid killed two adults in east Arizona?
I saw a story on Fox this morning that suggested an 8 year old boy had been charged with two counts of premeditated murder. If true that is tragic.

Thank for confirming what I'd thought I'd seen. But can an eight year old really be tried successfully for premeditated murder In the US?

Each state has their own laws. I believe the authorities in AZ are looking into this, and I believe AZ has a law that technically they can be.
Apparently the 8-year-old shot the father and his friend with a rifle or gun of some sort. There was something else I read that the father taught the boy how to use guns.
Not sure if it has been announced to the public that it was a complete accident or pre-meditated, seems like there is very little of the details being released to the public.

It was pre-meditated as the bodies were found in different locations. As far as being tried as an adult, the odds of an 8 year old being found mentally competent to stand trial as an adult are very slim.

I heard on the local news that this happened in Flagstaff. IMHO I don't think kids should be taught to use guns, or have access to them at all...an 8 year old has no concept of reality. The father apparently asked his pastor about teaching his child to shoot.
