well every summer here there is always 1 or 2 weeks where it will be around 110 everyday and it sucks
Just stay inside, and turn up the A/C

Was that the average temp or the consistent daily high. There is a big difference. For your average temp to be 100 - 115 the daily highs would have to be higher and the nightly lows would be fairly high as well. I think you mean daily high or average high not average temp. I think Kansas Lady also has this definition confused. It is an easy and common error.

Stop wrapping your thermometer in tin foil and leaving it out in the sun!  Yes the Verde Valley gets hot, it helps to have a swimming pool.

Katie, that is exactly what I was saying. It was the daily high not the average temp. I would agree that was a very uncomfortable high but if it had been the average temp it would have been much worse.
