Travelling to Safford, AZ Jan 6-10, 2009 on business. What's the weather like on those dates. I'm coming from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Thanks,

Don't know what the weather will be like those days... but to give you a general idea it is always about 10 degrees cooler than the Phoenix area. Definately bring a warm jacket though! After today's weather who knows!
EDIT: Oops, didn't see that you were coming from Florida. It will be cool. Try looking up weather.com and see... the zip code is 85546. I think it is pretty cold, but then again I get cold really easily. Didn't help much, sorry. There is another user on this website (safford pastor) that will probably post and give you a better idea.. good luck!

The job market is getting better...when the economy crashed and the "Great Recession" started we had a lot of layoffs at the mines....but copper has went from about 1.25 to 3.85 since the 1st of the year, and things are starting to move again. We really expect the market to stabilize pretty good too.
I think the future of Safford is bright.
During the month of Dec, the average low is about 29, and the high in the high 50s to mid-60s mark.

Safford is really a great town....sort of a hidden treasure.
There are somewhere in the area of 35-40,000 folks living in Safford area, and we have decent shopping, restuarants and plenty to do....good weather, not as hot as Phoenix and Tucson, and not as cold as say, Prescott. Lots of outdoor things to do, hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, dunes to ride ATV's on, quite a bit of permanant water for AZ...the Gila, and Sanfrancisco rivers, several creeks and lakes and ponds....beautiful farming valley with mountains all around...some as tall as 10,720 ft in elevation...great forests meadows and streams...canyons, deserts ....just nice country. (check out the photo thread....I have quite a few pictures of the area spread throughout.)
And really nice folks here....sure we have our criminal element, and just plain old grouches and idjits....but the vast majority are good folks.
