Not every school has metal detectors! I worked in 2 high schools here by me in the past 5 years...no metal detectors, and the same issues are there as when I grew up. Sure, I graduated in 1985, we're talking over 20 years ago-I'll give you that much. But the world today is pretty much the same as it was! The only thing that changes is your perspective. So unless you have been in a high school as a teacher or worked in it recently, then I feel I may be a little more qualified to relay my observations on current high school life- at least here in Florida. I worked in the schools for a total of 4 years. It's not as crazy as you may think- and it sure hasn't changed all that much since when I grew up.

Was I supposed to be impressed with your credentials? I guess they don't focus too much on punctuation and sentence structure in college these days...

Horsey Horse is on a distinguished road
Bullies are most likely kids who are going thru alot of bad stuff at home themselves, so they bring their hate to school and take it out on those who appear to be weaker than themselves. These bully kids have very poor examples of authority figures or parents themselves, if any at all.
