Camp Verde/Cottonwood (Flagstaff, Sedona, Page: renting, homes, zoning)

My husband and I are looking to move to the area if we can sell our home in NJ, still have to work a few more years - im 46 he is 52 - his trade is HVAC-R (heating/ventilation/ac/refrigeration) are there any jobs in the area or would he have to commute to Flagstaff?

also what is the deal with the zoning in this area? we looked a few years ago and you could find nice site build homes ... right next to meth lab trailers...??!!

we are looking in the $200-$300,000 range, something on at the very least 1/4 acre, private, quiet, rural... Sedona would be nice but you cant get much for that price range, even now that the bubble has burst...

im also wondering about the medical facilities in the area, i might have some issues in the future...

any help would be much appreciated

I'm new to Arizona been here six weeks from Mi, I love it. I am renting in Camp Verde it takes about 20-30 min to get to Cottonwood depending on where I'm going. The hospital in Cottonwood is Verde Valley Medical Center they have a web site you can go into so you can check it out. Look into Clarkdale, Cottonwood and Cornville at the begining of Cornville their is a nice sub called Verde Santa Fe with some beautiful homes but not on 1/4 acre. Page Springs is also a place to look into, If I can come with any thing else I will let you know.

Has ADOT started working in the Cornville/Rimrock exit ramps on i17?

Not on the ramp but just before they have had slow down signs, and some equipment. I usually and only going towards Camp Verde on my way home from feeding Thelma. I will be going that way tomorrow so I will let you know for sure...
