Default Sales Tax on Used Vehicle?

If a car or travel trailer is purchased as a used vehicle, is a sales tax charged for used vehicles?

In the State of Washington, we need a bill of sale from the seller stating how much we purchased the used vehicle for, and then the DMV charges us a sales tax. If the bill of sale shows too low a price, the DMV will charge in accordance with the bluebrook price.

Does Arizona do this?

Thanks.

Arizona doesn't tax private sales of automobiles, RVs, boats, etc. Tax is charged if you buy from a licensed dealer, though.

Thanks much.

When it's time to search for a used travel trailer, I will purchase from a private seller rather than a dealer.

Thanks again.
