My brother's a student at NAU and said at one point the snow piled up to just below his dormroom window (he's on the first floor of Tinsley). IIRC, KTAR radio sent one of their reporters up to Flagstaff for some on-the-spot reporting and he got stuck in the storm somewhere along the 17.
As for the ginormous city to the south, it was a whopping 55 degrees with moderate winds. We're such wussies.

Yea I talked to my office in Flag today and they have been dealing with Knee deep snow. A few of them live in Kachina Village and it sounds like it got hit pretty good as well.

4" of snow in Kingman is easy to deal with-----------the stuff is gone in 1-2 days
That stated: 4" of that stuff back where I am from can hang around for 1-2 weeks as slush. Ick.

I grew up and took drivers ed in a little town called Easton in Washington State. The drivers ed was during the winter and we would make runs to Ellensburg and back.
Snow was amazing 3' over night was not un common and if ya did not get up in the middle of the night to start plowing you would be stranded.

Lived in Eburg, and I am actually moving back there in March. The snow up around the foothills wasn't the only thing, don't forget about the ice fog, especially down in the valley. I always loved trying to make trips to Yakima or Seattle in that thick fog.

Here in Show Low I had over a foot on my deck. Had lots more last year than this year. It melted very quickly. They get the snow plows out rather quickly so driving wasn't a problem.
