Default Mesa Arizona

I would like to know what towns I could live in surrounding the Mesa AZ area for work at Boeing? I dont want a big town atmosphere. I would like as crime free as I can get with good schools and I only have about $250 K to spend on a house.

I know that I wont have my greenage in that area, but I see that it will be a lot cheaper for me to transfer there rather then the CA or WA areas at this point.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Gilbert's right next to Mesa, has good schools and effective police. It still has that small town atmosphere. With the recent downturn in real estate prices, you might be able to find a decent house for $250k.

If you want lots of house for a good price, there's Queen Creek, but it's a little farther away and traffic is a real problem right now. Once they get that fixed (which may take a couple of years), people might start moving back to QC.

Not really. As far as vegetation, almost anything will grow and thrive here if you take care of it. The natural vegetation is desert. Not as barren as the area around Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV by any means though.

I agree about Gilbert, it's my favorite town, very family oriented. But there are some decent neighborhoods in Mesa also. I know you can still get a nice house in Mesa for under $250k.

Well, mine actually. I know it's safe. I know it's quiet. I know a house with the same floorplan as mine (1717 sq. ft.) minus the pool and patio cover just sold for $240k. There are several neighborhoods in this area you might like. We're out east, just north of Southern on the east side of Signal Butte. US60 is 1/2 mile south. It's a very easy area to escape from when we head out of town in any direction, especially north and east. Lots of shopping nearby.

What size home are you looking for?

I get a weekly newsletter of recently sold homes, the prices, size, cost per sq ft. It's a good source even if you just want to track your own neighborhood. You can pick which zip codes you want the info on:
