Default Payson

Someone tell me about Payson Regional Medical Center - working there or as a patient? Possible move to Payson in June. Also about apartments (which are good/bad). Apartments/homes (rentals) are about double what I pay now from what I can find on the net in Payson.

OK, I'll simplify my question. Anyone know the reputation of the hospital in Payson?

hey Nord I have lived in Payson for 15 yrs and i wouldnt trust that hospital to remove a band aid for me. Their answer for everything is to load you on a chopper and fly you to Phoenix. Rentals here are expensive but is worth it.Very beautiful place to live. I hope you have a good move good luck.

Wife just had surgery at Payson Regional and had to spend the night...the care and attention received were excellent from all parties.

There is some truth to this. Any surgery could be better performed in Phoenix. One thing is to not minimize the altitude. Thin air can cause excessive red blood cells and oxygen starvation. Don't ask me how I know.

Years ago we did run after run transporting patients from there and down into Mesa / Tempe area hospitals. Its a good hospital in my opinion just not a level 1 trauma center. Thus people get stabilized and air lifted out if required.
