Roaches don't eat books, bookworms do.
But really, I think your two-prong approach of using the pest control service, and blocking up entry points is the best thing you can do. Chin-up, you can beat this thing.

BTW, I didn't register here to blow off steam. All that I stated is in my humble opinion. I apologize for polarizing the "people" in Kingman as certainly not all are phony.
It is very true about the mental health problem. Absolutely true. I may have spoken in haste about the doctors, but I will say it is hard getting through to them sometimes.
I actually just got a call to get my job back in Kingman. I have to make a decision what to do because honestly....it was hard for me living there. I do need a job though...

That's cool. I said my piece about people who attempt to stereotype the population of an entire town. Any good size town is going to have all kinds of folks, good, bad, and indifferent. We've met many fine and unique people in this town and made many friends.
Anyway, it's still a small town, and I will agree that you won't find top-notch specialists in every single medical discipline. That being said, KRMC and the new hospital MedCath are bringing in some excellent specialists from around the country. So it's only going to get better.
Good luck with your decision, and as the esteemed Arizona Bear so eloquently puts it, "follow your gut".

Thanx Kdog. It's like the old story though. The job pays good money, and who doesn't want to make better money?
I am in a place now in Arizona that I like so much better, weather, scenery, etc....but on a small UC check and I miss the bigger paychecks.
My gut says no but my mind is saying.....do it for the money.
I know this sounds artificial and "phony", how ironic is that?
I'll keep ya posted!

Well, we're in the process of moving into our Valle Vista house now. So far we love actually living on the real land what with lizards, birds, bunny rabbits(not jackrabbits) on our property. For retiring I think it's going to be hard to beat at least for us. We'll miss our green grass but it means less maintenance on our part too. More time to bike ride. My wife was raised in the country so finally she feels at least partly in it again. I've always lived in suburbs. I look forward to this change of our environment. A new chapter in our lives. Now the hard part, getting everything moved. But we have no schedule to really meet so it's not that bad. It's on our terms.
After we empty out our current house we will clean it up and sell it(hopefully). We're going to miss some MC campouts/rallies this summer, but next year we'll be good to go again. Did get in the Prescott, Az. rally this early May. Now it'll only be 150 miles away instead of 800 miles.
It took us 8 weeks to close the house deal. 8 ^ 0

Congrats on getting into the area!
Yes the critters are amazing around here. We mostly have cottontail rabbits but there are a few jacks in the neighborhood as well.
Plus the variety of birds in our mesquite trees is pretty cool as well.

I'll second that emotion -- congratulations and welcome!!
I've yet to see a cottontail rabbit out here. Maybe all the jackrabbits in my neighborhood are eating them.

I see jackrabbits and cottontails in my back yard almost everyday. The birds are incredible - they're so easy to spot without those darn leaves in the way (former east-coaster). Luckily, I don't see to many lizards - they still freak me out a bit. And after 3 years, I've yet to see a single snake or scorpian - knock on wood. I've seen one tarantula and unfortunatley, it was on my living room wall. Welcome!
