I love the natural beauty of the state. I saw photos of Sedona in a book and fell in love instantly. I love the smell of the pine forest in Flagstaff. I love the clear blue waters of the Colorado River and Lake Havasu. I love four wheeling on top of the rim. I love the monsoon rains. Sunny days and dry air is a welcome change from NY.

I am looking toward Arizona for a vacation home that we would move to later on. There's a combination of reasons involved. I like the warm dry climate with lots of sun. I've looked around there in the past. It just looks clean and comfortable. It's close enough to drive to California to see my relatives once in a while. I am thinking of buying in one of the exburbs of Phoenix since I am not used to the big city.
I like gardening and withe use of some water I'm thinking it'll work out for us.

One more reason I should mention is the prices. Yes I am liking the prices I see for homes. I like the style of the ranch homes too.

I can't exactly pinpoint what draws me to Arizona. It could be the blue skies, the palm trees, the mountains, the warmth, the modernity, or it could just be the vibe of the place.

I'd really like to see what drew people to Arizona, and what continues to draw people there.

Birth place. I should get a medal for that... so the usual family, freinds that one has any hometown.

- nearly free housing

- ASU, contrary to what outsiders say

- flagstaff/showlow/strawberry, etc (basically the main nice parts of AZ in my opinion). if were'nt for these places/good points, i'd probably not live here even given its my home state.

- no natural disasters.

i won't even go on my usual tirade about phoenix or the desert in general.
