Default Gold Canyon, Az

My husband and I are considering living in Gold Canyon. I would like to know if it is strictly a "retirement community." We are not quite ready for retirement. His job is in Globe and we don't want to live there. In this economy we want to rent before we jump into buying. Anyone have any thoughts, advice, etc?

Where are you moving from?

Gold Canyon is my FAVORITE city here~it really is~not only is it beautiful but out of the 'rat race' here in the valley.

I would imagine that the large majority of residents there are retired, but I wouldn't call it a "retirement community" along the lines of Sun Cities, Leisure World, Sun Lakes, and I don't think it identifies itself that way. It is beautiful out there.
