Glad to help! Here is one of my scorpions that gave birth. Sadly, 2 fell off of her and died, they just cant live w/o mommy. This species is from the SE USA (this one here is a Kentucky specimen):

Could be, but scorpions are just not known to sting themselves unless accidentally. As for repeated stings, they do it all the time to one another, particularly during feeding time when fighting over a meal, doesnt hurt em the least bit. Heck, I watched as one of my scorpions took over 30 stings from another and was AOK.
Here are some from my personal collection:
** DO NOT HANDLE SCORPIONS OR VENOMOUS CREATURES!!!!!!!! **
Tityus falconensis (South America):
Scorpio maurus (Israel):
Heterometrus spinifer (SE Asia):
Vaejovis carolinianus (SE USA):
Androctonus amoreuxi (Africa):
Smeringurus mesaensis (Arizona):
Hadrurus arizonensis (Arizona):
Diplocentrus whitei (Texas):
Centruroides vittatus (Missouri specimens):
Hadrurus spadix (Nevada):
Centruroides spp (South America):

Sorry.
No need to be scratchy, that species is completely harmless, even more so than a honeybee. Theyre wonderful creatures, give them a shot before you dismiss them.

I'm so not a bug person...I think I'll stay away from this thread until the next page. I'm terrified of bugs, even the site of them

Gilbert. We have an acre, so there's lots of space for them.

I was too, only a few years ago believe it or not. Trust me, getting over arachnophobia is one of the easiest things to do.

Have you developed immunity since you handle them without removing their stingers?

You cant remove their stingers, theyd most likely bleed to death. And no, I have never been stung. Scorpions are extremely easy to work with and very docile for the most part. All the scorpions I own are harmless, posessing venom too weak to do anything other than cause some mild discomfort, similar to a bee sting.
