If the question had the twist to it if money was not a problem the question would have a lot of spice. But in reality since I've been moving since 2000 I would probably go to Atlanta or even Chicagoor even back to VEgas/Henderson. I love the city life with festivals and concerts and parks and food and culture. I think Arizona is still a retirement state.

If I moved away from Arizona I would go back home to Texas or move to Florida. I love both of them. Been to Florida about 4 times and I just love it a lot. It depends, but most definitey back to the southeast, for sure.

Well I went to Fargo, which is a heckuva lot better than Yuma, same job, pays a lot more. However, if I could've had my picks and it would either be KC or Chicago. I gotta have my four seasons, it turns out, and some artistic/musical outlets, which Yuma lacked. I probably would've been better off in Tucson of Flag.

I'd be in Middle Tennessee in a heartbeat! To me it's like being in paradise. The people, slower lifestyle and deep rooted history make it fascinating. Ad to this, the seemingly endless opportunities to experience and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors... Being in AZ for the last 25 years, has given me a new appreciation for being able to access the things in life that exhilarate and stimulate my spirit. It is sad to say but the desert has only given me brief interludes of fulfillment.

Chicago......ahhh how I miss the burbs, the city, the Lake, the people, and the food. I'm stopping now before I go on a tangent. :-)

I would love to try anywhere else that has some green grass and nice old trees!, I hope people are doing some skin care here, cause this climate will age you. I take really good care of my skin to try and undo the daily damage inflicted by the dryness, heat, and relentless sun.

Thought it worth saying again!!!
Tennesse is beautiful... Green everywhere!! Lush forests, grasslands, mountains, rivers and lakes. Fishing, Riding trails, Boating, Endless site seeing. Lots of shops filled with antiquies... civil war history. Homes values are good... taxes are low in most counties... Yea, its humid in the summers and the winters are considerably colder than AZ... and there are bugs and other criters that need to be contended with... AZ has been good to me, but... 25 years is enough!!! Last edited by ptasa; 07-11-2007 at 01:17 PM. Reason: Revise |

I would move to the northeast. Ideally around New Hampshire, Vermont or Maine. It actually gets cold and snows there. Sweet, beautiful, snow. I hear that the weather isn't exactly the same everyday. New Hampshire and Maine also border an ocean. A sweet, beautiful ocean.
Arizona has its own charm to it but it's not really my thing. |
