No they won't.

Among other justifications, The law says you have to have insurance if the vehicle is registered, therefor the insurance company is still providing a valuable service to the insured.

If you aren't transferring risk then you aren't providing insurance. Your comment makes zero sense.

The only way they would be able to deny a claim in the situation presented would be if the policy was cancelled due to a breach of terms and conditions. Collecting payment and not formally cancelling the policy would indicate intent to keep the policy in force.

Why is this thread back again from 2009? You got a speeding ticket from live police officer this thread is from a freeway photo camera which are not even in use anymore.

Your choice is pay the ticket, plea not guilty and come back to AZ fight with them in court over the proper use of a radar gun, or go to traffic school and avoid the insurance hit.
